Father’s Day is right around the corner, yet this can be a difficult time for those who struggle with male infertility.
As you may know, infertility is defined as – and determined by – the inability to impregnate a woman within a year (without the use of birth control methods during intercourse). But what you may not know is that within the mentioned time frame, about 15% of couples are typically unable to conceive, and it has been found that around one-third of such cases are due to male infertility. Interestingly, in just about 50% of infertility instances, the reasons for male infertility are unable to be determined.
That being said, some of the known causes of male infertility are:
- Blockage in the Male Reproductive System
- Various Medications
- Low Sperm Count
- Abnormally Shaped Sperm/Sperm that Move Incorrectly
- Undescended Testicles
- Underlying Medical Conditions
